I thought the show was great. Well done to everyone concerned. The theatre was a wonderful space for the show, very intimate. It was just about a full house the night we went and everyone seemed to enjoy the show immensely. It was really pacy and the songs were well chosen. My favourite was Glen, in whatever song he performed! Great work indeed. "A Mix Tape", "Been A Long Day" and "Therapy" were highlights for me. Keep up the great work PEP. Congratulations.

I thought everything about this show was delightful. I enjoyed the atmosphere created by having the cast and the band on the stage. Some people tend to overthink things. I do not see how the cast could "remain in character" for a concert/variery show - which character? I still find myself smiling when I think of parts of the show; and I can't remember the last time any show had that much of an impact on me. I cannot single out any one of the cast members. Every single performance was oustanding and so entertaining. I would like to thank Julia, Vicki and all the cast for sharing their obvious joy of musical theatre with their audience. Congratulations on a great show!

Thanks for your encouraging comments, Damon. I think the Web Wombat review is flawed because the reviewer believes that a variety show can only take one of two forms which is a bit narrow-minded. I appreciate that any linking dialogue was loose - but it's only intention was to provide some flow to the entire performance, rather than the stop/start clunkiness that variety shows suffer when it's just song after song. The linking dialogue was never meant to create a full story. Similarly, having the cast on stage and the set readily accessible on stage was also a ploy to avoid clunkiness and assist in smooth transitions between songs. I have to hand it to the cast - being on stage all that time is tough and they never pulled focus off the main action or distracted the audience. I got the impression that the reviewer felt that any actor watching from the perimeter of the stage should have remained in a particular character to aid the action centre stage. I certainly don't agree with that! With a show of this nature, cast members undertake numerous characters - why can't one of those characters be an audience member? Is that breaking the rules? If we were trying to create a consistent character for each actor throughout the show, then the reviewer would be justified, but we clearly were not. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?
